What is the Proper Headlight Use on the Road?

Low beams in cars are advised for low visibility conditions like in the rain, snow, fog, at night, or poor visibility. It should also be used when approaching another vehicle to avoid blinding oncoming drivers when following another vehicle, and city driving in general. High beams can be used on open roads and in rural areas. It should be dimmed for oncoming traffic and when following another vehicle. Daytime running lights increase visibility during daylight hours, and fog lights can be used in fog conditions.
